The Akai GX-4000D is a digital sound module that was introduced in the late 1990s. It offers a wide range of high-quality digital and analog sounds, including drums, percussion, guitar and bass amp emulations, keys, strings, brass, and winds. The module has 4,000 preset voices and 1,500 XG voices, as well as a built-in Combi feature that allows for creating multi-layered sounds. Additionally, the Akai GX-4000D offers 128 MB of expandable ROM and pad controllers with image editing functions.
