The Akai GX-77 is a digital sampler and workstation that was introduced by Akai Professional in the late 90s. It included a 76-note weighted keyboard, 4 MB of RAM expandable up to 28 MB, and a built-in 9-channel mixer. Some of its notable features include the ability to import and manipulate samples, synthesize sounds using its built-in synthesis engine, and record and playback recorded audio. It also had a built-in USB interface that allowed for easy connection to a computer. The GX-77 was popular in the music production industry, particularly for live performances, as it provided a versatile and flexible platform for creating and manipulating sounds.
