Brand: Sansui

The Sansui G-9700 is a vintage CRT video game console released in 1984 by the Japanese electronics company, Sansui Electric Co., Ltd. Its most notable feature is its unique shape, resembling a shark's head, which gave it its nickname, "Sharkfin Console." It supported up to two players simultaneously with separate controller ports. The console had a library of over 50 games, including popular titles like "Space Invaders," "Pac-Man," and "Galaxian." The system was mostly popular in Japan, but it also found a niche market in Europe and Australia due to the demand for affordable alternatives to the more expensive consoles like the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and Sega Master System. Overall, the Sansui G-9700 was a significant player in the home console market during the 1980s, and it paved the way for the rise of similar systems like the AtGames consoles of the late 2010s, which often repackage vintage consoles and games for modern audiences.
